Finnish guitarist Ismo Eskelinen has attracted attention both for his extraordinary performances of Bach’s music and of new music. His recordings have been praised worldwide. He appears frequently in solo recitals, as a soloist of important orchestras with famous conductors and performs chamber music with the best musicians all around the world. Eskelinen has premiered several works written for him and many distinguished composers have commanded his intensive interpretations of their works. Eskelinen is a prizewinner in several international competitions and serves as an artistic director of Sonkajärvi Soi-festival in Finland.
